I promise no more pics for a while!

why?? we love pics :) the oscar is lovely looking, i dont like the wormy fish  (birchir) and that sev is very pretty, has lovely eyes :)

i thought i had been posting too many, but i guess not. i love bichirs. they are probably my second favorite fish. i bought the sev on impulse and it turned out to be a good decision. seems like the sev is always flirting with thor, shaking its rear end when thor is behind it.

keep the pics coming!

is that Bichir in with the O and Sev?

yeah. its really cool how the bichir interacts with the sev and thor. he'll just go and hang out next to them whenever they are resting on the bottom. the only aggression i get is between thor and the sev, but it's nothing serious. the silver dollars are in a growout tank until they all get around 3 inches.

Is that a Senegal Bichir? Mine looks just like it and mines a Senegal.

so no probs with the bichir eh?

cuz my BGK was a disaster with my juvie oscar. it seems people have success with bichirs

thanks, scribbles. yeah, its a senegal. ornates would have been too big for the way i have my tank set up. yeah, there's no problems with the bichir. however, every oscar is different in how they treat other fish. i was nervous because i had no success whatsoever with new fish, but all of a sudden he could care less that the bichir is in there. he'll swim right up to thor's mouth and nothing happens. that doesn't mean i'm not holding my breath when he does that, but i haven't seen any problems yet. could it be that bgk spend more time swimming midlevel than bichirs do?

Possibly. The people i talked to said that the tail is just too tempting (which makes perfect sense). The BGK was longer than the O, but that white striped tail looks like a little bloodworm. And the BGK has no way of defending itself.

He was all over my tank all times of the day swimming with the O and BP...... Pumba just decided he looked more like food after 5 days .
