my sister gave me a piece of Mopani driftwood.
the problem is the piece of wood gives the water a tan coloration.

i have been told that boiling the driftwood will help to remove the tan coloration from the wood.

My piece of wood boiled for 3 days and it still turn my water brown.

how long does is usually takes to completely remove the tanning?
And is there any other things i can do to solve my problem ?

it just leaks tanin for as long as it wants. Soak for as long as possible before putting in a tank. If it has stained the tank water your partial water changes will dilute it eventually. Also carbon in your filter may help clear up the tanin.

I am beginning to feel like a broken record but...
polyurethane varnish, 3 coats letting it dry completly between coats

but, some fish like having the water like that. It is a matter of taste I guess, but I don't mind the color. It makes it look more natural to me, but if you have fish that don't live in an environment that has tannins it is not preffered for tehm.
