Monkeys sadness(people are evil sometimes)

Hi all

As some of you may or not know, Monkey went into season and it caused a massive argument.So please forgive me for not telling you that she escaped and did get pregnant.I was in hospital at the time and my B/F was having a hard time.

Anyway, she was doing fine and the pregnancy was going well.I asked about her coming home covered in poo on an earlier thread.We have now worked out what happened and the consequences of that persons actions were very sad.

We woke up on Friday morning to a bedroom covered in blood.Rushed to the vets where Monkey had to have an emergency section.She was carrying 3 kittens.The vet said that one had died a few days earlier and the other 2 were lost in the operation.Monkey is fine and is sleeping alot in her cage that we have set up for her.

Just wanted to tell you all about this and hope you share my anger that someone who grabbed and held her down in order to have a silly joke is prtobably responsible for this.

That is so sad!
I don't understand people like that. It's atrocious. Poor girl. Glad the vet sorted her out though and at least she is ok and pulling through although the emotional trauma will have an effect on her I suspect.

That is so sad. At least she is doing ok now..How are the babies that did survive..I hate when stuff like this happens. You should read some articles here in our paper on how mean people are to animals it is sick. I hate to think they are such mean people in the world today..

I don't think any of the kittens survived did they? The two that weren't already dead died during the operation I think.
It's so horrible....... I can't stand people who think it's fun to hurt animals. I just don't understand it.

I may have read it wrong. I was hoping that at least one of them made it for the mommy atleast.

Hi Angel Lady,

All the kittens died, Monkey is not looking for them I don't think she realises about them as she had a section.

We have just been to the vets for a check up, Monkey is fine and doing well

Poor little kitty...It hurts my heart so much that people can be so cruel.
My thoughts will be with Monkey.

Just to update Monkey is doing really well , she has been sleeoing alot and is much more affectionate than before.She follows me evrywhere and keeps asking for cuddles.She is eating well and for the first time tonight is running around the house chasing her ball.

She is off to Devon tomorrow with us for a little holiday

That is wonderful news. I'm so glad she is recovering. Have a good time in Devon. Would love to see some pictures of her at some point too!

Did you have her fixed while she was in operation perhaps?

Yes she was fixed in operation, the whole thing cost us £360.00, but she is ok and thats all that matters
