tolak how did you make that powerhead filter? would love to try it out myself


and i always keep timers on my lights and build anything i can myself since manufactures like to rip us off a lot

The method tolak put up you can do the same in a hospital tank just attach a sponge to the airstone.

Buying used tank, making your own stand, making filters like Tolak suggested... put a piece of velt on the outsitde of the bottom of the tank instead of having gravel... basically it's a barebottom tank, but since you have the velt it shines through.

When using aquarium salt, dont do as many water changes. The water will evaporate, but the salt wont so when it is time to put new water in, only add dechlorinator. On sunny days dont turn on tank light. If you have plants. a airstone isnt neccisary( spelled wrong) and if you already have one, and you have plants, dont keep it on in the daytime. When it is time for fry food, crush up flake, instead of buying some expensive stuff. When changing filter pad, just rinse it out with tank water and you are good for another month is money is tight.
