I think it is SOOOOOOOO Cruel to fight bettas. That guy from Thailand needs to sell to owners that will care for bettas and definately not fight them. Whoever fights bettas I think are horrible people . Thats all I have to say

Agreed, but it's kind of silly to suggest that someone who breeds fighters, for the purpose of selling them to people who fight them, would stop and sell them solely as pets, see what I'm saying? It's not like you can show a fighter against show plakats or anything, so if you're not fighting them and selling them as fighters then there is not much profit in breeding them at all. If you are involved in and support betta fighting you are ok with breeding and selling fighters, if not, you won't and are likely to pick up a more profitable variety. The fact that this breeder breeds them at all means he's not going to stop selling to people who plan to fight them.

Well anyways I'm not going to sit here and waste my time by arguing with you about the topic. I guess its right either way. I'm more for animals going to a good home without chance of being killed or injured by their owners. But i still say I'm no tree hugger

thats a common misconception that betta fighters dont care for their fish.i come from a betta fighting background and i spent god knows how much money for my fish.and to compare betta fighting to fighting pitbulls is ridiculous loko.im not having a go at you in anyway,but have you ever seen a pitbull fight or a betta fight?
ive seen plenty of both,im against pitbull fighting simply because of the rules.if a dog turns away or runs away from his opponent they then scratch them,which means they make them face their opponent again,and again,and again.betta fights are different.when one fish runs thats it!both fish are pulled and the fights over,and i have never seen a betta die in a fight.they are very strong,fit and well trained.

you know sometimes i read threads of people worried about i little finnage getting bitten off and i chuckle.if you could see how quick fighters recover you would be amazed.i could show you before and after photos that would blow your mind.

anyway i can garauntee you that i loved my fighters more than my family dog.they were my first priority every pay day.nothing but the best.and they are the happest bettas you will ever meet,i still have my main fighter,i dont know what age he is now but hes perfectly healthy and happy as larry.he still wants to fight everyone but hes living it up in retirement now in a 30 litre tank with live plants and regular visits from his girlfriends to keep him happy.

i apologise for the long post but comparing dog fights to fish fights,and dog fighters to betta fighters is hardly deserved in my opinion.in the end theres 2 types of bettas fighters and show ponys.bettas have a long fighting heritage,without it they wouldnt be the fish that you all love so much,yet you are the first to criticise the people that helped develop and create the fish.its very hipocritical!

I sel fish, BUt I don't do paypal. I take checks and money orders. If you send a money order, you get a slip of paper attached to it that you can get your money back if something happens. If its a check, you can get the funds back because if they cash it, you will know, and there are records of such transactions.

how do you get your money back if you pay by money order or cheque (not check)?
file a complaint with ebay (if you use ebay) and ebay gets part of the money.
or sue in court?

Well, you would have a receipt and the US postal service (dunno about other postal services) have a team of law enforcement officers who will help you. Because you used the mail to mail your money order/cehck, the mail gets involved and they say that its their obligation to help you.

i think they only "help" you up to the point that they trace the money has been received.
as long as they have provided the service you require -send the money to the seller- their job is over.
they can not enforce their law (even they are america!) in other countries.
