I've been looking online, but can't really find any...I looked on aquabid, but I dont know if I really trust them...

Anyone know anywhere to get Endlers?

www.swampriveraquatics.com sells wild ones, which I am told are the ones you want, as they are not at all mixed with guppies.

Endlers R Us will sometimes have some for sale (they don't currently), or their forum members will.

Endlers by Mail appears to have some decent-looking stock, though I've never talked with anyone who has dealt with them, so do so at your own risk.

Those are the sites I know of. Good luck, if you decide to get any. They're really beautiful, especially for livebearers, lol.

OK thanks...They dont use USD, so i'll have to look elsewhere :((

Swamp River Aquatics, you mean? Just kidding.

You might try e-mailing them and seeing if they ship to the US/have a way of converting currencies. I didn't check to see, sorry!

Just wanted to give everyone a little update on my fishies!

They ALL seem to be doing FINE. I thought that only a few would survive, but so far, i've only lost 1!

They're really starting to become hungry little guys, and its so funny to watch them eat. LOL..

I tihnk the mother is going through a small case of "Fin Rot" Probablly from all the stress with having the fry, and jumping out of the tank onto the floor. Just a good thing I got her in time. But I added some salt, and bumped the temp to 80F so I'll see how she is..

Should I still get "Fin Rot" Meds?

Thanks

Meds would help. Is it fin rot or fin damage? Melafix should be ok to use with finrot meds.

When they get to 6mm try then on LIVE bloodworm & watch even more fun when they learn how to deal with food that fights back

After a week or so they should be big enough to take crushed adult flake, frozen bloodworm, daphnia & brine shrimp for variety.

Look after mum & good luck with her.

I dont know What it is...Fin Rot or Fin Damage. I noticed that she had a "string" hanging from her back fin, with a LITTLE part thats looks as though it's missing. I'm picking up some Fin Rot Meds today.

Do you think the fry would be affected at all by it? I put them in a breeder net in the tank they were born in. (which is the same tank that momma is in)

the fry usually do good in a breeding net within the tank. your fish has had more babies at once than any i have ever seen. good luck with them!

From what I learned from this forum, finrot, ick etc. can be passed on to the other fish but if they are at full health then there in a far reduced chance of then being affected. If they are stressed then the risk increases greatly. Putting suitable meds in the tank will help her get better and should stop the others from catching it.

Some will reccommend isolating her but this can add to the stress hindering the healing process. With some of the worst diseases then isolation is the safest way. With ick (not sure about finrot) it is waterborn so the tank needs to be treated so if you isolate affected fish you'll only have to treat 2 tanks.

If the above is wrong or inaccurate then someone please correct it.

Yeah, the thing about the keds was that, I have the fry in that tank, and I didn't know if they would be affected by it or not. So I was trying to do it naturally. (which actually, she seems to be getting better)

The Ick in my main tank seems to be going away, after yesterdays 20% water change, and I'm going to do another Ick treatment, jsut to be on the safe side..

Fry are still doing great! They get so excited when I add food to the tank. :)

Thanks
