I was wondering what plans do you have for the fry? My first swordtail birth was over 45 babies. I was overcrowded with 1 labor. I set them up in a 10 gallon breeding tank for now and they are only about 3 weeks old and she is looking like she is going to do it to me again. :hyper:
I know that you said that you have a breeder box for her, but if you dont put her in there, some of her fry may get eaten by her and other tank members. I dont know how fish experienced you are, but the fry are hard to catch. I gave up on trying to catch them with a net, i personally use my turkey baster. It is one of my favorite fish tools. If you suck up the water close to them, they go right in and then you can squirt them into the box. Makes it easier on me than trying to get the net around all of my plants in there. i also use it to pick up any extra food in the tank. If you need any more help, just aks, i am sure everyone here is willing to help. Good luck, Sandy
