molly fry missing

I've been looking for my fry all day and can only see 5. I think one might've died. THe rest have been hanging out around a small plant. If I can't find that baby, how much damage can a fry do to the quality of my water. Getting ready to do partial water change and test, beyond that is there anything I should do to get it out of there. It hasn't even come out when I've fed them today.

em i dont really know. if it is dead it should float to the top . if it is only one fry i cannot imagine it will do much damage. i assume your tanks has mostly mollies which are quite hardy. if it does not come to the surface it will probobly get sucked into the filter or something. sorry i could not be of much help. but i have recently had molly fry and one or two may have died and my tank is fine .

Do you have any other fish in the tank? If you do, they could have eaten it. As Tindy said above, it is also possible that it got sucked in the filter. Either that or it's really good at hiding.

good at hiding, she came out the next morn. no other fish except fry in tank with her. alls well that ends well
