Mollies Misforming

me and many of my associates have had the problem of mollies and platies becoming mal formed, as in they grow a hump or something like that, why is that?

Could be poor water conditions, poor diet or poor swimming area. Mollies prefer a lot of space, and if you confine them to a small tank, they may become stunted or malformed.

no, they are not pregnant,

its not so much a hump that their bodies contort to a boomarang shape
