:( Is my female mollie killing my males? She chases them all over the tank until they are exhausted and when I finally think they are getting along, I find the males belly up. My replacement male made it three days and now he is on his back but still breathing. I took him out of the tank and put him in a tank with salt in it to see if it helps. Any other suggestions?????????

If your female to male ratio is 2 to 1, this probably won't happen. The male might want to mate and the female is chasing him off until he dies of stress. That's my guess. I'd say you need to get another female.

Edit: Make sure your water conditions are good. The female might be accustomed to it, new males might be more sensitive.

Might try that. Also, thinking of changing my fish store........Or this may be a badly stressed bunch of fish in their last delivery.

Poor guy is still alive...on his back though. I don't know how he made it though the day. (I think this female is hyper!!! She does all the males I put in the tank this way.)

Maybe better to have 2 females and not breed them yet.

My mollies did that for a while until i put a beta in male for a day and then decided to put him in the vase now not half as much chasing

:( I think every thing in the tank is afraid of this female mollie. Now, the angels are hiding in the rocks. Normally they stay out.
