Climbing mountains is fun, although I prefer walls indoors, the weather is more reliable. Never flown a jet apart from on a simulator, which I'm not allowed to do anymore since 9/11.

I got to fly a glider at the Air Force Academy while I was in college - no pics unfortunately.  But it was amazingly fun. 2 amazing weeks.  Top speed was about 70mph, not nearly supersonic.

I've done gliding and scuba diving in my time tho not at the same time!!
Gave up gliding when I realised a glider can stall (no engine but they can still stall!) Now when a car stalls it grinds to a halt, but when a glider stalls it goes into a flat spin. When I heard about that it was adios plus all the thermals used to make me

 anyway!
Scuba diving was fab but I got a bit twitchy when the instructor told us if we saw a shark to keep calm and swim slowly. No!! That's just not possible - I'd have ended up with the bends!! So bang went another hobby!
Thank goodness fish-keeping is more peaceful!!!

You should try freshwater scuba or snorkling, there are some amazing sights just waiting to be seen by those game enough to dip their head under the surface of even fresh water.

Please forgive me if I'm being presumptuous, but having enjoyed reading about the mods, is there any interest in creating a 'meet the members' page in a similar vein. 
 
Not sure if it would be best locked so that posts are submitted via and posted by mods to cut out banter from the 'profiles' post or just be left open?

That's not so bad - my instructor pilot put me into multiple stalls intentionally and I had to get out of them before I was permitted to solo.
 
Honestly, those flat spins are pretty easy to get out of - just counter to most people's first reaction. Turn the plane INTO the stall, to get air flowing over the controls properly again, and once you have airspeed, you can slowly pull out of the stall.  For me, it was REALLY fun.  Nosehigh stalls, spirals, all that.  I kind of miss it - haven't flown since 1997.

Yes, that is an option. But isn't it more fun to look at one thread and read loads of profiles, rather than having to click onto each particular person's profile, especially when they are not often used much?

Always fancied gliding off into the sunset along a street of clouds, eagles.
Never happened tho - all I ever did was barf when I got out the glider at the end of a flight!
I was better as a lookout at launch time with my feet on terra firma! lol
