firstly anyone any experience with them - reliable??
thinking of a small tank for daughter

secondly, the filter it has, it that on of the much lauded bio wheel type systems?

I have seen these (a while ago) and from what I remember I didnot like them much, loked a bit cheap and unreliable but I could be wrong.

Looks a lot like the marineland tanks. I know they are quite popular but most of them are in very small sizes, just a few gallons.

I like how all the pictures in aquarium advertisements show small tanks with a million fish in them! No wonder people overstock their tanks and freak out when their thirty neons die when put in a two gallon tank!

Yeah i seen them. Maybe they do look a bit cheap but they are only £50. I was thinking of getting one to put a couple or maybe 1 axolotl in it.

Anyone think this is a bad idea? Will they outgrow the moby dick? :)

Looks like a nice small tank Andyt. We use the very similar Eclipse Explorer tanks for fry and have an aquatic frog in another. They have been running, worry-free for over a year now.

Adam,
Don't axolotls get huge? At least 10 inches I think :D You would definitely need a larger tank! :D

i first started out fishkeeping with the £50 moby dick screen extra view, i did find it very reliable i now keep my african dwarf frog in there you get quite a lot of water movement at the surface because of the water pouring out of the filter the lightings ok but you could'nt expect more for a tank of its size the filter works very well but the pump can get clogged easily you can adjust the flow of the pump if you wish its quite a good mechanical and bio filter and is all contained in one unit with one plug if i had to rate out of 10 i would give it a 7-8 they do them in the following sizes 20litres, 30, 60, and 90 the 60 and 90 have a automatic light timer but the 60 and 90 have only just been released so they may not have them at your lfs :D

DAAAMN!! I want axoltls but don't have the room for another tank!

My parents are quite liking all this fish business.. Might seee if they want a nice big axolotl tank in the lounge!!
