Mixing Shrimp

Quick question really, not sure if I've read it before or read it wrong but do different types of shrimp get on In 1 tank or do they fight?

Reason is i have 1 red fire shrimp and would like to add a couple of yellow shrimp to my tank, would there be any problems with this?

I think I'm right in saying that they're both from the family neocaridina Heteropoda so will interbreed, not a good idea to keep them together.
You can mix different shrimp together & they will live peacefully, I have cherrys in with crystal blacks.
Have a look on planet inverts for shrimp that will go together without interbreeding

I've also read that if you mix same family but different colors i.e Red cherry + Red rili = 20% rili / 80% cherry. So basically, you can breed two of the same family but different "colors" with downfalls like the rili would be less than standard cherry.

Actually Rili pattern is a more desired colour than the standard cherry shrimp, high quality rili shrimp can go for a lot of money.
 
The only problem with putting say Red cherry shrimp with say Yellow or Sunkist (Orange) cherry shrimp is that you will get a lot of wild colouration coloured offspring, these really are not desired by most shrimp keepers because they are usually just brown. By the same token if you have a way of getting rid of any undesired colouration offspring you can then embark on developing your own colour in cherry shrimp. So far there is Red, Fire Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Black and Green and almost all of these are already producing rili pattern as well.
