When I finally start setting up my tank I will probably buy 90 Lbs of Fiji LR and 30 Lbs of Lalo (tonga?). My question is if it will look like crap with 2 different types of rock?

I thinks its down to personal taste. If you like it, then its fine. Inmy new tank I'v used 80% pacific plating rock, 5% tonga branch and 15% fiji rock. I'm happy with the effect.

ste :)

Sometimes you're not gonna have a say in the matter, too. I just bought some button polyps the other day, and considering they come already attached to a rock.... that's just how it's gotta be. If you look, you can see it doesn't begin to come close to either the rock it's sitting on, the rock behind it, or the rock to the right of it.... all of which are vastly different.

Just take what you can get and go with it. Eventually it'll be covered in coraline algae or corals, right? ;)

IMO a mixture is far better. The different types of life fro each rock will increase the diversity of the micro life in the tank. OK so its not how it would actually be in the wild as most of these speices would never meet but if you arent worried about this then you will get a lovely variety of different thigs.
