Cory experts,

In my amazon community biotope tank 30", along with cardinals, rummynose and phantoms, I have a pair of caudimaculatus corys, I want to increase, but do a get a couple more of their own kind, or could I mix with 2/3 panda corys?

Thanks for your imput, :good:

Corys of the same species are more likely to Shoal :)
I'd keep atleast 6x minimum of one species

if your lucky you'll get plenty of breeding aswell in the past 2weeks I have had over 100eggs and I don't know what to do with them all haha

I would get a couple more of the type you have simply so there is more chance of them breeding. However, if you like pandas then get those instead. Different cories will usually school together.

I have 2 types of Corys in my tank. While swimmin I notice they pretty much stay with their own kind, but while resting they all huddle together. Cute.

The answer depends on whether you are looking to please yourself or the fish. Although you will find in the long run that pleasing the fish will please you best. :p
