:-( I decided to try buying a pair of bettas on ebay since the colors were along the lines I was looking for. Mistake number one!!! Two!!! and so forth.

The bettas arrived. Very high shipping charges were made but the item was mailed priority. When I received the four bettas I was shocked to find only two bags.... yes, this seller had packed the pairs together. The female included with the male CT was twice his size and tore every shred of his fins off. He was cowaring in the corner of the bag and trying to keep his distance.

Now the delta was another story. His fins had been torn so close to his body that he looks worse than a female. To further add insult to injury, the original female had jumped out of the bowl so the buyer put in a "better" looking female. Yeah, right. She added a spade tail male. Needless to say, she doesn't know what she's doing.

wow. that sounds horrible. you should complain that any compotent seller of betta fish would know NOT to put two into a bag that is going to be trashed about together! that sucks. sorry. hope your bettas heal quickly.

I'm sorry, I'm not usually one to bash on sellers, but oh....my....gawd....in the bag together?! Uhh, hello?!
And the deltas? Two males in one bag. What the heck were they thinking?

I hope you mention that in your feedback, that's atrocious.

 :X Idiots!!! What on earth were they thinking! Blimey that is beyond stupid. Goes to show just how stupid some people are. I won't buy any fish on ebay....ever.
Hugs,
P.

 Have you emailed the person that sent you the bettas yet? If so what did the moron say?

Oh my God! That's just aweful. That's gross negligence, and terrible cruelty. Does this person know anything about bettas? Can he be reported to Ebay? I hope something can be done. I'm really sorry Nashnut, hopefully, under your care, they'll improve. What a waste!

Wants to replace the fish so we're on hold to see what I can do with these. I think the spade tail might have dropsy to add insult to injury.

I'm putting some BettaMax in both tanks to safe guard against any infections. It's fresh water with salt already.

What did the moron say when you told him/her about how each betta should be in its own bag?

She's willing to do it - at least for me - I'm probably the first one to blow their stack. I also gave her a lesson on how to pack them. I've sent off over 100 in the past couple of months so I've gotten the hang of it very nicely. Told her where to get the bags, etc

LOL it looks like they were very pretty guys.

Can you post some pics of the bettas of what they looked like when you bought them on ebay and then what they look like now so people can see how bad they were beaten?

The first one is not toooooo bad... he's up and about

The crown tail is just sitting on the bottom now.
