Mistake Getting Guppies?

For apple snails, I have seen simple antacid tablets like Tums recommended for their shells since it contains lots of calcium that they can use. It won't prevent shell erosion due to low pH though.

For apple snails, I have seen simple antacid tablets like Tums recommended for their shells since it contains lots of calcium that they can use. It won't prevent shell erosion due to low pH though.

My snails initially came with a few small holes near the tip of the shell (the area with most swirls). But now they seem to have calcified, so maybe the PH isn't that low and there is enough calcium. I think they started to color up the areas too.
