i went on vacation and i had a betta(male), platy, pleco (2, one was a baby), 2 dalmation mollies, 2 marble mollies and one back mollie.

my parents were watching the fish and by the second day, my baby pleco was missing. when i got back (yesterday) i went looking for him, and i can't find him. i checked everywhere and took everything out of the tank. there is no sign of him at all. any ideas on what had happened? my parents were watching the tank everyday so they would have noticed if he had died. so confused

Plecos are extremely good at hiding, especially when small. Do you know what species yours is? Some are nocturnal and you won't see them for dust during the day.

i'm not sure what kind of pleco it is, but i know that he would come out during the day, but blend in with the filter. i removed everything out of the tank but 2 plants and the gravel. i'm not sure if my other pleco would have ate him since they were checked on 2x's a day. the possibility of that happening had crossed my mind though they were fed very well. well....still lookin.

yes, i looked inside the filter. it would be impossible for him to get in there though. mine hangs on the back of the tank (outside) and just the tube is in the water. it is odd that there is no trace of him whatsoever.
