MISSING Fish

Have you looked in your hood, including behind the lights? Bettas have been known to jump up into thier hoods and wedge themselves into the various parts of it. Disturbing stuff, eh?
Also, have you looked (and this will sound weird) on your walls? Esp. behind something? I had a betta jump from a tank, get stuck to the wall, and dry out there. It was disturbing, to say the least.

Man if I saw one of my fish stuck to the wall I would probably freak out.

^ Dude ur not helping

Have you tired lookin in caves? Bettas tend to push themselves in the tiniest spots then not be able to get out

You may not like this.....but your best bet is to disassemble the tanka nd look for them......

good luck :-(

Definitely look under the rocks. I've had guppies hide under rocks and get stuck.

Just keep looking and wait a few days and see if they turn up in the tank or if you start smelling something funky in your house. Then you can find them.

No hood, or lights. That is why I left the water down 7 inches. Also why I used the flashlight. The tank is 125 gallons. Cost Lots of $. Saving for top, and lights.
I checked the walls too. A couple of months ago, I had a male jump. I found him behind the wall unit he was on. He was so dried out, he was stuck to the wall. I ploped him in some water, but was sure he was, or would very soon be dead. He is still alive, and swimming today. He is actually my Missing Yellow girls Stdt Brother. Maybe they are super bettas. :dunno: Actually all 3 came from the same breeder.

Well, that maybe it got abducted by aliens crap wasn't nice either...
Did you check under neath the stand? On my stand, in the back, there was a little hole i didn't know about until I moved my tank.

Like I said wait a few days and see if they come out and eat. Or wait and see if you start smelling something funky.

Have you looked all under the lip of your cabinets? between teh gap where the fridge/stove is? Behind your garbage can? Behind anything else you may have sitting on your kitchen floor? Have you removed the grate on the bottom of your fridge and looked under it? Under yoru stove?

You never know maybe the cat or dog got in without you knowing or maybe the fish somehow got out of the kitchen and fiped and floped into a room where your animals were and gotten ate

I have off on Thurs. I think I am going to take everything out of the tank, and go through the gravel tomorrow afternoon. Unless they show up before then.

Yes, I have checked all those places. I am sure the animals did not get in, and the fish could not have left the room. I can not think of anything else. I guess I'll just have to wait for tomorrow afternoon.
