Minimum Feeding?

My fish are poo machines. I have a seriously under-stocked and over-pooed 75 gallon tank at the moment, so I'm cutting down on feeding. Is every-other day OK as a regular schedule? Can (should) I do less?

I have sand as substrate, and my 3 platties and 7 cories manage to keep it covered in poo. It needs a vac at least twice a week, even now that I've cut back. The platties were even pooing after I had been away for a weekend (i.e., they hadn't eaten since Friday)!

I'm ready to add more fish, but I'm afraid I won't be able to see my sand any more!

Yes, every other day is just fine.

That's why I got rid of my sand....it looks great for a while, but soon after it will just be covered with poop.

I have cories though, so they love the sand! I just hate to think what it's going to be like when the tank is fully stocked.
