Might Get Some Gouramis Need Info

Ok i am thinking of setting up a 20gallon tank and getting 2 dwarf gouramis. I want to get a two dwarfs, and let them breed if they want to. My question is, will any dwarf gouramis breed? As in if i get a red male and a dwarf blue female would they breed just fine?
also is a 20gallon to small for just two dwarf gouramis and nothing else. Also breeding am i going to have to take the female out or something??? Are they hard to breed?

A 20 Gal will be just fine for breeding them, but you will need more space to rear the fry. Yes.. it is good policy to remove the female after the nest is filled with eggs as the male is an aggressive protector of his nest and the also yes... they are easy to breed.

As to the interbreeding of colour strains... there also a yes, as long as they are of the same scientific classification.... (i.e.... a honey (dwarf) Gouramie will not interbreed with collisa Lalia (for instance).

ooohhh ok. well im not sure if im going to do the gouramis just yet after all. I going to get more tanks in the next few months than i'll start. I got to make sure i got enough tanks lol.

from what i hear, all the females lack color. even the color morph females are plain silver
