hey, i am setting up a 20 gallon with shell dwellers and i was wondering what tanganyikans could i put in there that are mid dwelling? i know im kinda limited but i would like some options,

thanks a lot

There are none.
20g's are barely big enough for shellies much less something else, considering how territorial shellies are.

yes i know how territorial shellies are, when i get another job, im going to be getting a 3 foot long 50 gal which should give me enough room for mid dwellers,

anyways, thanks for your help waterbender

As hinted on in the cookie cutters, a small shoal of zebra danios or dwarf rainbows would be a good addition. Say 5 or 6 at the most.

In terms of mid dwelling (do you mean rock dwelling?) there are not really an options, other tang fish suitable for this size tank will more than likely compete for the space with the shell dwellers ni territory disputes. Paracyps and Cyprichromis, the mid-water shoalers of Lake Tanganyika require a 4ft tank really.

And an ancistrus catfish would be a useful addition.
