i kno this isnt betta specific , but microworms are what lots of breeders feed to the fry...

i had a culture, but no fry... for a few months...

it stunk so bad everytime i made a new one i just stopped doing it..

i heard tho that they can be revived sometimes..

anyone tried it?

can i jus scoop some dead ones onto a piece of bread and yeast and hope for the best?

any ideas?

i have 3 fry left and i really want them to live, this liquifry stuff is annoying, and egg yolk goes rotten fast..

the microworms would be perfect right now..

any ideas?

i thought your fry would be too big for them right now.
i dont think you can revive old cultures :( but i could be wrong...

hm...

i think i might try again anyways...

the fry would really like em now i think..

ill hold my breath and scrape some off the side and try again anyways

Hi thellama :)

If there was any good nourishment left in the culture, there could be some microworms still alive. They are quite persistent. But, if there are only a few, it might take awhile for them to increase enough to be visible. Give it plenty of time before you give up. :D

how old are the fry? i would think that getting some BBS up and running might be more benificial at this stage ;)

im tryin aquabid..

to get some live foods..

but the person didnt respond and the auction closed... hopefully theyll sell em to me anyways without aquabid...

the fry are really small still... but theyre actually swimmin around now which is good..

they pick away at the moss... and dont eat the liquifry :S

the auction was for... vinegar eels, microworms, some golden pearl things that r supposed to be like bbs, but they float on the top of the water.. and some other live food also..

it was like $8... free shippin to usa but im in canada so ill have to pay something..

microworms smell so rank tho.. i dont want to have to go through that every month :(

Hi thellama :)

Right now I think you should take bkk_group's advice and start some brine shrimp hatching. You need food very soon for your fry and even if you do get the microworms and vinegar eels it will be too late to grow them enough to use them.

Of course, if they do come, you can grow them and feed them too. You can also learn how to care for them so they do not smell very bad. But right now your fry need the bbs. Please take care of this first and when you get more micros I will try to help you grow them successfully, without a bad smell. :D
