Im just showing them off more than anything, they're Wild Caught from the higga reef, ive been told theyre fairly rare. beautiful fish apparently only recently discoered so im quite excited about having them. Let me know what you guys think :)

also, the female was holding when i bought her so with any luck ill have some F1 fry pretty soon!!

thanks :D they are just stunning fish and if you have an mbuna tank large enough i cant reccommend them more! really peaceful as far as mbuna go

I have a 55g mbuna tank with 4 fish, and looking to add more. Stocking so far, 1 Ps. Socolofi (Ol' Blue), Ps. Acei (yellow tail), one unidentified, and a red jewel. Do I have room?

Your female looks similar to my unidentified...can you possibly tell me what this fish is?

i cant say i would reccomend it in a 55, they're the biggest mbuna ive ever owned. But even still i hadnt ever heard of them until saturday. My male is about 7 inches long to give you an idea of the size.

Oh wow! right now Ol' blue is my largest. She is a 7incher. She is the only one in the tank allowed to be that big! lol

Your fish to me look like a pseudotropheus hybrid of some kind but its difficult to tell, what was it sold as? how much did you pay for it? and where did you get it?

yeh if it were a saulosi it would be much more vibrant and yellow... or blue and stripey depending on sex
at a guess id say a zebra of some sort but i wouldnt just take my word for it, its hard to tell. what can happen a lot in fish stores is they'll order 20 saulosis and 20 random cichlids turn up so it could be well be a number of things

I like her regardless. Very sweet docile mbuna. I've only seen her fight one fish. My mbuna are taming my Red Jewel at the moment. And the Jewel is calming down finally.

Are they fun to keep?

sorry didnt see that, yeah theyre awesome. The male is unquestionably dominant in the tank its really funny watching my zebra pulu calm down a bit!He used to be such a stroppy fish!

@dieses, well fair enough, sometimes its as simple as that, as long as you like the fish and shes not killing anything :D

I would be more concerned with her species/purity if i were breeding them. But as it stands, all fish in my tank, I believe, are female
