Messing With Polaroid Filter...

im not sure how else for you to adjust it if you are not able to use the viewfinder. usually you look through the f=viewfinder, and slowly spin the CP filter until the image is crystal clear and free of any reflection.

The Fuji S9500 is a bridging camera with a fixed lense. This is a smalll disc filter 58mm, The only one that will fit, I saw some large ones that had a spinny thing when I ordered mine but will not fit on these cameras. UV filter I have is the same.

I have Ulna Tunnel in both arms, if I use the viewfinder (which is difficult for me to see through wearing contacts) both my arms go numb, hence I drop the camera. Cannot use viewfinder on a tripod either as I cannot bend at all have knackered sacro iliac and facet joints.

Disabled people learn to adapt to how they can do things, this is how I have adapted.

Ah that's a shame to hear Tina. On a potentially positive note, my mum's partner suffered with the same thing for 2 years. He got told first that it was carpal tunnel, then that there was a problem with the ulna nerve and was given all these exercises to do. He was unable to do much with his hands as they would just go numb as you describe. He recently started taking vitamin B12 (I think it was, will find out and confirm) and he said his symptoms improved greatly. Then two weeks ago, after exploring many avenues to treat it, he had some chiropracty performed on his head and neck. The woman kind of wrenched his head and neck about. He said he 95% back to normal now as a result. I don't know if you've explored this or not, but it may help :good:

The photo's look great btw. Colours are lovely!!

I have recently had surgery on one and had surgery on the other last year.

Both little fingers are useless as the Nerve Conuction is severely reduced on testing.

Won't know any more till I see consultant in a couple of weeks, as long as I use hands below shoulder level they are fine, thats what the surgery was for.

I will have to see if it makes a difference on the LCD screen, or look at viewfinder before setting the the shot up, which won't be perfect, but I do manage otherwise as my photos tend to show.

I can see the difference on the LCD screen luckily BA. The Fuji does have a very good LCD screen that pulls out and moves depending on the angle you are shooting from. I guess this is probably the reason I do so will without the viewfinder.

Will obviously be taking many more, especially now I can use the polarising filter properley.

Reet, here i go again, my new camera says that filters can't be fitted  been having a look on the net - but there seems to be a company saying that you can put a stepping ring on it - is this right?

http://www.bristolcameras.co.uk/p-kood-38-...epping-ring.htm

Is it like an adapter to make it suitable to take filters?

Sorry for the newbie questions  I would really like to try the polarising lenses etc

Seffie x

Have you a tripod?

If so, turn off your circulation/pumps (you will need the coral to be still), set the ISO setting on the camera to 100 (reduce noise in the pics), use AV(AP) mode and set the aperture to about 10 for FTS or less (4.5) for close ups.
Try that and see how you get on. If there is any movement in the corals or the camera it won't work because the above settings will probably result in a low shutter speed - so movement will mean blurred shots.

Thanx Tina...still seem to be slipping into the red spectrum but and not catching the true greens and blues yet...more practise needed i guess,lol..
