I think its funny hearing about all thesethings people do to him. I hope the outside temp turns really low and the water freezes. What temp do you think that water is? That bubble wil get all algead up soon surley.

On a fish note what is compatable with this merman can you keep it wiht angels or mabee even ocsars and how big does his tank need to be. Oh and lastly can you feed him on bloodworm??? :D

he might be the lone survivor if a big meteorite hits earth...

its just a shame that with all that spare time ( & money) to do stupid stunts he couldnt do something more useful for the planet or the people on it.....................
i did go & see mr blaine when he was in his little box over the thames river in london & i loved the guys who hired a helicopter to dangle a burger right next to the box..hillarious! :D

Nah, he doesn't want to be made into a joke, he wants people to Oooh and Aaah at his amazing... I'm not sure what

Gunel said the challenge had taken a toll on the magician's body, including liver damage, the sensation of pins and needles in his feet and hands, some loss of sensation elsewhere...
One wonders where. Perhaps he has been rendered sterile. One can only hope. :)

All that and he didn't even break the record for holding your breath underwater.

And what a stupid idea to weaken yourself in the water for so long and then try to break the record.

I would have been much more impressed if they'd sealed him off... Hey, create a mini ecosytem, plants give off oxygen, right? And he can eat tiny aquatic critters, I'm sure.

So does anyone know how long he held his breath? And how does staying in water a long time weaken your lungs, shouldn't it help because you need to control your breath while using the scuba gear?

They said he was about 2 minutes shy of the record of 8 minutes 58 seconds. And while I an see what you're saying about how the scuba gear helps control your breathing... staying in a small enclosed space for a whole week without food is just too fatiguing on the body to then try to hold your breath underwater for over 9 minutes.
