psst - BB is a crowntail, not that you'd guess from the photo. lol

They're both very healthy and spunky now, except for the obvious fin issues but those should heal up very soon.

They're gorgeous! When/Where did you get them? Great names, too... hehe

I got them when Saucy and Bettabelieveit from the forum (who live close by me) said they found 5 poor little guys at a fish store that was moving locations, and they looked like they had kinda been left behind and forgotten about - as if they would be more of a pain to move than they were worth. SO... they went and bought all 5 of them and when they came up to Madison where I live a few days later, they brought them to me!

Poor guys have had quite a battle - BB had velvet, and therefore some sort of irritated gills from it. MM had a pretty bad case of parasites. They both seem to have made a full recovery from everything and are feisty little boys.

You're right lfishie - I'd choose the veils anyday. BUT... Six followed me home from the fish store, and Barnacle Boy came to me sick from those guys - I asked if I could have him before I knew he was a ct (it wouldn't have mattered anyway, but)... when he said he was kind of under the weather.

Awww, they look so happy! Too bad the little bugger is biting his tail! And all along we thought it was fin rot... *sigh* What can ya do? Can't wait till MM's split heals up... and hopefully BB will get over his little bad habit.

Well - I think BB's problems are cuz he's in a hex tank and he has no heater. It's driving him BUGGY. AND.. he's in the kitchen where there is a TON of activity. So - he's first on my list of "need to get a minibow and a heater" for. We'll see if that helps. He gets some growth on there, then he takes twice as much off. It's REALLY frustrating.

Maybe he's mad that he was born a ct. lol
