Hey guys, I know I’m relatively new in posting on here but have actually been reading posts for several years. I’ve read several posts recently mentioning people that have left the forum or not been on for some time. Perhaps if we made a list of people MIA, the mods could invite them back. Just a thought. Anyone know of people to add to such a list? I’ve got ellrog and CassCat. More?

I don’t really see why... a lot of people leave for personal reasons, because they got offended an such. (I know CassCats did)

I don’t think @EllRog left because he was mad or something, I think he may just be busy with life.

Time zones may also play a part , if a user in the uk is active for 1 hour a day day at 11am they will probably never encounter an American or Australia cousin an if it’s an active day on the forum the posts may never be seen on the what’s new area

Please don't trivialise people's reasons down to "getting offended". I'm sure there are other reasons as to why certain people have left.

I have noticed a few times not many when a new person post for the first time and no one answers. This discourages them from posting again. That is why when a new person posts I try and answer their question. But if I can't, I welcome them to the forum and asks them to hang around because someone soon will drop by that might be able to answer their question. I just don't want them to feel they have been ignored.

The "OG members" that I remember/miss the most are not even showing up as options to tag anymore.

I know there were some that had knowledge regarding certain breeds and treatment for diseases. We don’t seem to have as many as those anymore. A lot of chit chat but fish emergencies need help. Hope this doesn’t offend anyone. Hard to explain what I’m trying to say without names to use as examples.

I think it sounds like a nice idea!!! Some members may be offended, like mind your own business sorta you know, but I think that when life gets stressful and busy there is something encouraging about someone letting you know they miss you and they care and they hope you are doing alright.

My point is they left for a reason, so sending out an email saying, “Hey, did you forget about TFF?” May seem a bit out of line.
