well i was finally ablet o get some antibacterial stuff (mela, pimafix) which is all i'm able to get so....
i'm just wondering a few things before i start treatment(i've been using pure tee tree oil for 2 days since i had nothing else, is this better than what i bought
and if the products are better what is the best way to use them, like do i mix with water before i put it in, do i put both at the same time, are these products safe for my snail & shrimp, and the bottle says to remove carbon when treating with those, is this true?
and is there any chance that the treatment will work on my hospital tank that has no filter(been cycling my new filter on my established tank, both running for about a week, has this been long enought to put it in my hospital tank with my 2 females)
please give me as much info as possible been looking up everywhere but no detailed info
thanks

You will probably need something stronger than mela/pimafix if your fish have columnaris. I used an erythromicin powder from API. It worked okay, but it did hurt my beneficial bacteria.

When I use mela/pimafix I just dump it slowly out of the cap into the flow from the filter. The carbon will remove the medication from the tank. It is best to take it out.

Can't say for sure on the filter question. I've never done anything like that.
