they are all vector based and are created in adobe illustrator cs. i had a good picture of a smaragdina that a friend had posted and used that to base it on. good way to waste a few hours

my wife is a professional graphic designer and i am also a graphic designer (although her skills put me to shame). with the smaragdina drawing, i did the fish and conceptualized the background theme and she came up with the colour scheme and finishing touches.
