Lovely addition - is there any likelihood of a frog jumping out, or escaping out of the holes by there the pipes come in and out, and are they OK with no rocks or wood above the water's surface?

i have the holes in the hood covered, the last thing i want to see is a dried up frog on my floor !

hmmm... i dont know i am not much of a harry potter fan. i like weird and unusual names (yeah that is one but you know...). i was thinking about namaing him Waldo, like from the 'Wheres Waldo?' books because every morning and night i make sure he is in there and so i would have to 'find waldo'

They must be very soft frogs by the looks of them. At least the frogs I used to catch at my grandma's were like... well, like my newt.

i thought newts were a little poisonous. they wont kill you but its not good to touch them. the person at the pet store told me that the frog can carry salmonella and to wash my hand after they have been in the tank- which they have and here i am posting and eating frosted cheerios....

I know that they are poisonous (well, these orange-bellied ones aren't too poisonous though), but I always wash my hands after handling her. I call her Fat One because she's so fat. One time she had eggs, but her and her mate considered them spaghetti and ate the line of eggs she made, similar to the Lady and the Tramp scene...

Newt eggs? They looked more like a necklace with white beads, but some clear fuzz around them. Due to not having a log in the tank, she laid them in the water, so they didn't get the chance to stay like a jelly. She also didn't even go on her rock to lay them.

All I know is that the male was dancing in front of her before that, but under water. Normally this should happen on dry according to what I've read.
