~ I learn something new ~ ~~~~ every day ~~~~
This is my lovely cat Suzie - a lilac point Siamese (the traditional type - not the modern breed). When got her almost 10 years ago from a little old lady who's husband died. She hated cats so locked poor Suzie out the house for several months and left food for her to eat outside Suzie was such a tiny timid little thing and not having had any protection and a house to run into, she got into an awful lot of fights - so when we got her she was absolutely covered in scabs every inch of her body. She was a petrified cowering wreck, and for the fist week hid under any object she could find. It took her several months to venture out of my bedroom and probably around 6 months before she had the courage to step from my bedroom into the TV room - just across the hallway
Over the first year we had her, she transformed completely into a most loving affectionate cat
Sadly we lost Suzie last year due to a lymphoma (cancer) and after several lump removals and exploratory laparotomy, she was finally put to sleep
She was a little Angel though and sorely missed.
Here are some photos of her.
