Meet Casper

So the little guy was still there. Dont have a name for him yet though. He's tiny like casper. Sorry for the bad photo, like I said itouch isnt that good when it comes to cameras lol

I will hopefully get a new phone with a camera in the next 2 weeks so it might take better pics.
 
your new fish, isnt blue and yellow looking at the pic, he looks like a mustard gas...purple and yellow. one of my favourites. nice one.....my avatoar pic was my little fellow....and when i bought him he was so stressed, that his purple looked chocolate, so I called him Terry...to my surprise he turned purple within a week lol
lovely bettas you have there, i had a white called casper once too.

Fishy friend2 - lol! Sorry but he's Caspers buddy, I want to keep them together :)

LilyRose - Not sure what mustard gas would look like.. but mustard is yellow.. lol but he is blue, it's just a bad picture because the camera in a ipod touch is horrible (plus it was super dark out so the lighting was just making it worse). I was going to try and get a better picture with my friends phone but I think the stress of transportation yesterday got to him so I wasnt going to bother him for a day or so that way he could get comfortable and everything.

The one in your pic is a beauty!
 
What does mustard gas look like?? I've never heard of that.. even when talking about a color.

LilyRose your right from the picture you showed me, caspers friend is a mustard gas. I would never have known what that even was unless you had shown me. ALso your bettas are beautiful!

Fishy friend2 maybe the next time you see one you can get him, or maybe you will find one like casper! Just have to keep looking :) thats what I did.

That "female" you were fish-sitting for sounds like a male to me? Making bubble nests and chasing the other girls. Maybe it's a plakat? Hold up a mirror and see if you can get her to flare. :good:

Ritingyou...your welcome. I do love a mustard gas...and sadly all my bettas in the photos have passed away. I am on the search for my new boy, once the tank is done and cycled.
you'll have to think of an appropriate name now you know what he is.....the only thing i can think of that goes with purple is royalty, so what about names like Duke, King, Prince, or any of those names in a foreign language...for example, Melik, is King in arabic...happy searching xx
 
Fighterfish thanks :) and I thought that too, I tried the mirror trick but she never flared. Tried to attack the mirror but no flareing. She is a lot older than my 3 girls, so maybe shes just use to being the only betta in the tank?

LilyRose I'm so sorry to hear that they all passed away. WHen you get your new boy you should take pics so I can see! I'm sure he will be very stunning :)
 
hi there...I gave in an bought a red/green/blue VT today. yes i know I'm naughty. I bought him a 6G (28L) tank and set it up with loads of plants to keep the ammonia etc at bay, while the filter beginns stocking up on bacs...i will be checking his water daily and performing water changes daily too. I named him Jewel. as he stood out like a diamond in the tank! lol
