I've offically gone betta addicted! I saw little casper on the shelf, he's still very young but so sweet and very cute. He doesnt flare at any of the bettas,(females and males) and when my cat sits next to his tank he swims right up to the cat. The lable said he is a half moon, but his fins didnt fill in like the other half moon at the store (which I will be getting tomorrow before work!). But his fins are a little damaged so I guess I will see once they heal. Sorry for the fuzzy photos, ipod touche's dont have the best cameras but it's all I got and he is difficult to take pictures of since his fins are almost completely clear!

He's very tiny, I was surprised to see him there still. My lfs doesnt usually get white bettas, normally only red, blue, and occasionally yellow and blue. But since he was there for over a week I snatched him up.. I kept telling myself I'd only keep two bettas.. a male and female.. Now I have 4 girls and about to have a third boy tomorrow. :)

I got very lucky :) I just wish it wasnt so hard to take a picture of him lol. I've never known a betta to not flare.. even at his own reflection! Do they not flare until a specific age?

pretty nice betta you got there and your'e lucky that you got one that doesn't flare even my one eyed betta fish flares
i think they start to flare at each other when they start to show colors like how you can keep betta fry all in one tank but when the males show colors and then they flare at each other and start to fight

Thanks, I think that if he was going to get any color he could have by now. Maybe that means he'l always be gentle :) My cat puts his paw up to the tank and casper swims right up to him, like hes curious as to what my cat is. I need the record it the next time I see them together like that!

From the picture he looks great, I'm sure he looks even better in real life. I've become addicted too I'm afraid. What do you have him in?

He's in a 5 gallon tank next to my computer. The top of his back fin is a little damaged but should heal pretty quick. Well, I admit he is a bit skinny, I dont think they fed him much at petsmart, but that will soon be fixed too :) I am actually considering picking him for one of the little girls I have when he gets bigger :) Who knows, maybe some of the fry would end up being sweet like him :)

Thank you :)Now if only I could find a female like him... hmmmm

Well finding one online would be a piece of cake, but I dont have the cash to pay for shipping. So, to find a female like him at the shops I got to, I'd have to be really lucky.

And just a question off topic, is it normal for a female to make bubble nests? I had to move my older girl (tenically she isnt mine, I gave her to a friend but I am fish sitting for a week) because she was bullying the 3 I got last night and ended up finding this a couple hours later. I noticed it right after I turned the filter back on.

Also a picture of my cat and my two males while I was cleaning their tanks (sorry you can only see one of them, casper doesnt show well from far away)
