Media. Cheto

hi does anyone use media in there sump? also will cheto still grow under a normal tube in the sump? thanks

In mine I have the skimmer phosphate remover, carbon a DSB+ cheto and LRR heater and return

its lit with a 25W PC but depending on the size any light will do. I know of someone using 5 and 10w normal bulbs and still the cheto grows!

Yeah I just use one of those twirly flourescent lamps, you know the ones designed to replace old incandescents. Works great

ok thanks. i have carbon, the skimmer, cheto and a bit of live rock and i heard that media keeps the water more clear?

If/when your chaeto over-takes your sump, it will help filter out the minor particulate naturally
