I am looking to get some sort of MEAN fish once im done with convicts. I want something that can take out mice like nothing and eat other fish with no problems. Anyone have any idea on a MEAN fish? something that would have to be by himself or with other MEAN fish too? what is the most agressive fish i can get now n days other then a Parana or a baby shark...

I would have to question your motives in keeping such a fish...

Most really agressive fish will need a BIG tank to keep them happy. Exodons might be the best bet for a smaller tank.

WOW Exodons are sweet..there pretty small but alot of them can TEAR stuff UPPP!!! that is crazy...do those run alot and are they easy to breed? What is the full grown length of one?

Also the reason I want a Fish like what I have described is just for a show off tank basically..why else do you have cool fish? usually to show them off to friends and to watch them ^^

I don't think they grow much larger than 4 inches, but you need a fair amount of them to keep aggression down between themselves. I would not keep them, as they pretty much need a species only tank, and tend to find them a bit dull.

I do not know a huge amount about keeping them, just have a quick google, im sure a care-sheet will be out there for them.

As to why do I have cool fish? Well, I very rarely show anyone my fish tank at home. I keep it as I like to enjoy my fish growing and being healthy and vibrant.

Tylosaurus are known to be pretty MEAN but you have to keep them on their own.

lol is that ment as a joke or is that a searious fish? I Youtubed it and all that came up were Dinosaur stuff lol

i thought only 12 yr olds were still impressed by this sort of thing. so ur show off tank probably wont work too well, unless u have a lot of 12 yr old friends?

Some snakeheads can be pretty mean and need to be kept on their own, but you do need a big tank from what I have read. Big catfish, tigershovel nose, red tail again need big tanks though.

Watched a program on tv last night about a nature expert hunting out a multiple human killer in one of the tributaries for the Ganges in India...

Wasn't a crocodile (water too cold due to relative high altititude above sea level)
Wasn't a shark

Top suspect was a 80+Kg catfish, at least 2m long!

Try channa bleheri, its one of the smaller snakeheads and a better choice for a beginer fish keeper that want a predatory fish, its also nice and colourful.

Why would you even want a fish like that unless you were going to make it do mean stuff and 'tear stuff up'? In which case you are a sicko and dont deserve any suggestions - guess your name says it all.

id suggest a guppy theyle tear through a fish flake in seconds

and the fact you want a fish to feed mice and fish is not practicable as mice contain animal fats and fish cant digest them well so is not recommended for them and feeder fish often have disease and also very lacking in nutrition so you'd be most likely be feeding pellets and frozen
