Me ! ! !

unfortunately, she is not mine. i was lucky enough to fall in with a very friendly breeder and trainer who let me ride her. i believe desi won a national championship (for morgan horses) in her day (long before i rode her). believe it or not she is about 17-18 in those pics. she belonged to festival morgans in california, she was one of their favorite broodmares, but when they tried to retire her frlom showing, she was very sad, so my trainer continued training her and letting us newbies start off on an old pro. i am not in cali anymore, but when i was there 2 years ago she was fighting her way back from a nasty bout of colic and a possible hernia. i hope she made it, i have not been back to the stable yet. she loved the show ring!

Awww!! It looks so cute and fuzzy!!! My horse looks the same way, except he's clipped, so some of him looks fuzzy and some doesn't! :) I ride english too, I ride an appendix. (for all you non-horsey ppl out there, it's a thoroughbred-quarter horse cross) His name is Bailey. I also ride a bashkir curly pony, Sunny, but I'm too big for her now. I still ride and jump her regularly, we have alot of fun.
So do you jump?
You know, if she tries to cross her jaw alot, you should try some other bits on her. Like the Myler bits or the happy mouth ones.
Here's a pic of me and Bailey~
(Yes, I wear chaps, english people can wear chaps too!! :sly: :D )

I'll have a search next weekend FF, there's sure to be something. It'll be (5-6) years ago though.

Thanks gaya!! :*) :D  :D
EDIT: Well, sunny's turning 20 in may! And you could never tell.
She also has a daughter who's 15 hh, Sunny herself is 13.2 hh. People are always like, oh it's a mother and baby! And we're like, no she's the mother! :D

Here is my horse Sparkle. She's not with us anymore...she didn't live past 3 :(. She got sand colic and rolled herself while I was at church...was too late when I got home..damage was done (twisted her gut and it had gone too long without oxygen).

Anyways...I have good memories of her..I got her when she was a month old...brought her home at 4 months. I broke her myself (never bucked me once). She was double registered as a Arabian and a Paint. She wasn't a real fancy horse like some of you guys lol...but I loved her bunches. Her name was Silver Sparkle, named after her dapple grey Arabian Daddy (Silver Moonlight) and her chestnut Paint Momma (Sparkling Cider).

Day I brought her home

She was a complete ham too. Because I got her as a baby...I played with her so much while she was growing up..I doubt seriously that she even knew she was a horse lol. She was a escape artist and she'd get out and go down the street (she liked the neighbors grass better then ours for some reason) and I'd come out and whistle..and you could hear her coming down the street, everyone around knew her so they always watched for her..so they didn't run her down lol. She would lay down in the front yard and eat lol...little lazy missy. I remember one day I had left the front door open, because I burned some cookies...and we didn't have a gate on the front porch then...next thing I knew..she was in the house! Talk about hard to fix...she had a hard time going back down the front steps lemme tell ya lol, little feet on little steps...don't work real well lol. We had a electric fence running around the pasture too..to keep dogs out, well one of my cats liked to walk along the bottom rail, well as long as nothing is touching the ground...it won't shock you ..right? This horse was smart enough she figured it out lol..and she HATED that particular cat (it got *cough* placed on her back when she was little and it clawed her*cough*) so anytime she saw it she tried to plow it down lol. If the cat was on the fence...she would walk over and put her backside to the wire..of course it shocked her some (but it was turned down so it didn't hurt the dogs we were trying to keep out, so it didn’t hurt her much) but omg it would knock that cat for a flip lol...I wish we'd had a video camera back then (this was 15 years ago mind you)..I'm sure I would have won some money off one of those funny video shows lol.

I've had another since...and can't find picture 1 of her either :(. My second one was a retired Racking horse named Flying Gold (she was a real neat and tidy Bay), I sold her to the lady I boarded with though when I got pregnant with my son..I couldn't be outside during the winter months taking care of her stall, so I had to make some sort of arrangements to take care of her.

One day when I have enough time I may get another one...I'd really like to get a Tenn Walking Horse or a Paso Fino. But I'll prolly be 40 by then lmao.

 This is me and the horse I used to share, he's 17.2hh and so friendly, he's a babe!
