Mdf? Please Help.

I am pretty boreed so wasthinking of making a large hamster cage over the next few weeks. I was wondering whether if i used MDF would it be poisonous to hamsters.

MDF has glue in it so probably would but apart from that a hamster will chew through it and escape

Its gotta be metal or glass, anything else is chewable, even those stupid habitrail things are not hamster proof. And anything like a cage with bars could enough the hamster to get his head caught and suffocate. Best to go with a glass aquarium really.

I have had 7 hamsters all in cages and none have ever got their head caught, They could only get the tip of their nose through

Same here^ I have had many hamsters live in habitrail cages and they never chewed their way out or got their head stuck. You guys must have some pretty big bar spacing on your cages.
