OK, my oldest Swordtail fry are beginning to show signs of their Swords but I was wondering if the males will start fighting each other?

I ask because when I bought the parents I had 2 males & 1 female. 1 male killed the other and he's now in the same tank as the maturing fry. Is it likely the Dad will start attacking the males or the males will start to fight each other? :/

A mature male map suppress young males from developing.
While you get some maturing now, you may find that it can take a year for the last male to fully develop fully.

Males are very active and as you know may fight. I would remove some if you have to many though. I usually advise having 1 male per square foot of surface area as a rule.

Only 3 or 4 males in a 220 ltr tank then.

Depends on the males, while young their ok. However 2-3 over active males that will be enough.
