i have 2 parakeets. green male, blue female. i recently had a 3rd who was very close 2 the green male. i got them from the same place. ever since he died my male and female are close and i have seen them mating several times. they love eachother. i have a breeding box in there cage but i've never seen the female go in there. when she does have babies i was wondering how 2 care 4 them. i'd like 2 hand feed them but i kno if i do then she wont feed them herself and i have school. i would really like nice babies and not mean 1s. any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated. thats

Please dont attempt to handfeed any babies you might get, you would kill them. They have to have exact measurements of food, exactly the right temperature and they need it every couple of hours. You need years of experience and training before you can attempt that without killing, or seriously injuring the bird.

I would let the parents raise them then sell them as aviary birds, or if you really wanted to keep on and have it tame, pay an experience hand feeder to do it for you.

I wouldnt advise you to try and hand feed unless you know what your doing it is hard work and will be a lot of heartbreak if you get it wrong.
You could let the parents rear them but as they are starting to grow handle them for a few mins at a time so that as they grow they get used to being handled and should be hand tame by the time they are weaned

Have nesting material available to the hen (paper towels, hay, etc). She will gather them and take them to the nest box when she's ready. Soft lighting and Barry White music will help.

YOU PROBABLY WONT

Just because they're 'mating' doesn't mean you'll get eggs right away. You haven't told us any information about their ages or anything so they could just be maturing ;) But i strongly suggest you seperate them until you research properly how to raise and look after baby birds because you seem more interested in the cute little baby birds you MAY get than the welfare of the parents...

Also, i assume that you bought the birds seperately ensuring that they're not related??
