I have a pair of mated convicts that have been doing well since I got the male 8 months ago. They've bred like crazy(as cons do). Yesterday the male started beating the crap out of the female for no apparent reason..

Idk what to do.

Any ideas why he's doing so?

She aint putting out by the sounds of things! lol
oh, thanks for all the help, douche bag.

It wasn't even a joke but thanks for insulting me mate.

If the female is not being responsive or is already holding and the male wants to shag her again....he will beat her into submission...happens in most Cichlid species thats why most people separate them.

My apologies, I've not slept. Fish tanks are stressing me out right now. Even more so that my gf is sitting on her butt not helping

They've been fine. She just laid 2 weeks ago. I can't put her in my other tank because my pink male is bullying as well.

I have since posted this been spending time changing water ect with tanks.
