i dont know tank names but i would say everything from ebay. are you going for a small tank?

You could get a second hand orca/boyu 550 for less than that price - and if you don't need the stand you might even get a new one

Here you go, this is the chap both my sister and i bought from, phone him up and ask for his best deal - that is what i did and got a bargain - nice chap

good tank. crap equipment. buying it all separatly maybe more expensive but is benificial. also have you kept fresh water yet? if not i strongly suggest you keep fresh water first

Hi Seffie sis here ;)

I have never kept any type of fish before and have started with an orca 550, some might call me fool hardy to jump straight in at the deep end but I have done many hours of research, The orca is a good starting point everything you need is there and I have had no trouble with any of the equipement that comes with it, just buy an extra powerhead for more flow. bin all the filteration bits 'n' bobs in the rear and replace with LR rubble and rhowphos.

Just do lots of research, asks lots of questions, take it slow and I'm sure you will be fine.

The orca 550 is a good tank I would recommend it :good:

How much is it :D. Ive been doing reasearch for about 2 months now i want to get extra info but only just started to understand i think another week and i might buy it.

Thanks for all you help.

Sorry maybe i wasnt clear enough  Typical me i was on about the 550 but yes charter house aquatics is a good price for the 450 and yes a small to medium tank nothing too large as mum doesnt want it in the way.

Did you look at the ebay link I sent you earlier - Trod and I looked long and hard and couldnt get a better deal for a new tank than this chap was offering - even better if you live near by as no postage.

I must agree however with Truck, if you have no experience and your parents have no experience of fish keeping you would probably be better off keeping tropicals first - however, saying that Trod, my sister didn't have any experience of fish keeping and her tank is going well :good:

We both have been guided by many people on this forum, so if you are willing to take on board what people say and do lots of research I'm sure you will be successful. it's an expensive hobby though - have you allowed for all the other things you are going to need?

Trod, my sister has just told me you are thirteen - unless you have parents who are going to support this hobby (or you have a fantastic part time job) it is unlikely you will be able to manage the expense of the hobby

I have a tropical and my friend has got marine he is going to help.
And i am thirteen and lets just say i get spoiled like hell. lol

:D and thanks for finding that offer

I think its around 120 litres. Ive been a little put off by the orca as some people say you cant put 2 clowns in because its not big enough. :(:(:(

Jay

I would definitely recommend that you get the larger tank if you can but I do have a pair of clowns in my 450tl, have been in there for about 9 months and they seem as happy as larry.

A larger tank will give you a much better range of choice for future inhabitants/corals etc and pounds per gallon (pro-rata) doesn't work out any dearer and in fact could work out cheaper.
