I have decided to enter the wonderful world of the marine tank!

I have kept freshwater fish for around 4 years now and have decided its time i get into marines.
I want to have everything ready and in place and feel that the is the best place to come to ask questions.

The basic's

My Tank is 72" x 20" Deep x 18" Width. The tanks has been up and running for around 3 years. The whole of the back has individual pieces of Alfarog stuck to it.It has 3 4ft tubes and the filtering is done by 2 x 404 external Fluvals.

I have recently purchased a RO Unit which i will prepare water for the tank in and hold in a storage tank in my garage.Once it there i will heat and treat the water with salt etc to get it up to teh same salinty as my tank.

There is my first question.

How long can you store the water (if you add a air pump and powerhead to constantly circulate the water )

I also was given a Skimmer which is good for 100 gallons. My tank is around 150 gallons. Its a Prizen Red Sea Skimmer.

Here my second question

Can you run two skimmers or is it best to run 1.

I wish to keep fish only and will add a mixture of live rock and ocean rock. Also hopefully the Alpharog which is stuck to the back og teh tank can act as a filter like it does now.I havent got the space or money to get the expense lighting hence fish only but are there any corals or anemone's that dont need the special lighting!

I looking to get the tank started very soon (once i have sold my excisting Freshwater fish) but dont want to rush into it.I have purchased a few books but are looking for a few words of guidence.

Many Thanks in advance
