pretty sure this is a 6 spine leatherjacket(female) -

she was really interested in my dove buddies wedding ring hehe, these things can bite through large fish hooks to escape kept lunging at my fingers, such a camera whore too, had to push her out the way to take other pics. think she liked her reflection!

i think this is a 6 spine juvenile

Umm.. "zoanthus robustus" or something, i forget spelling damm u latin names

Sea squirts of some descripton

an acideon of some sort?

soft coral?

and our hot 6 spined lady getting curious again, she followed us for about 40 minutes.

Agreed, my uncle had his regulator hoses bitten through by a queen trigger once at about 60ft of depth. Vented his tank in mere seconds... First and only time I'd ever had someone use my octopus reg for real. Nasty fish indeed

heh yea, whenever im fishing we call them bait pinchers becasue they sit next to your hook and chew the bait off without taking the hook, u can feel it when your line gets heavy and can usually jag them, only to hear a pop noise as they get out of the water and half your hook is missing lol. my dad was cleaning them once and got bitten between the the thumb fore finger in the webbing.. never heard a a man shriek like that before lol there was a stabbing frenzy and then lots of band aids. maybe the common names differ in between the uk and australia but these are definately 6spine leatherjackets or blue lined. i work for a natural resource protection agency and we survey these buggers all the time. scientific name "something something meuschemia" meh i dont get paid enough to remember it all :) will try get some pic of a black and orange variety, yellow spot i think theyre called.
