wow,
when we were in London we checked out the absolutely wicked London aquarium, it was amazing! - on our travels through - I came across the most superb fish ever!
a picasso triggerfish it is the most strange and amazing looking fish I have ever seen  !!!!!!
Thinking that it couldnt possibly be very common - one just happened to show up for sale at our LFS, of course i wanted to buy it, but alas do not have a marine tank - and probly wont have a marine tank anytime soon.
It is amazing, I think it captured my eye also because I am a bit of an artist, and this fish truly does look like a piece of art - hence its name :p
have u ever been captured by the beautiful oddness of a triggerfish?
i would love to know.

They are definately very beautiful fish. My favorite trigger would be the clown trigger.

One of the most expensive saltwater fish i have seen though

I am a huge fan of all triggers. my lfs that I buy fish from has a huge marine section with loads of different triggers and clowns (plus many other fish, those are just my favorite marine fish) they also have an 800 gallon reef display that is amazing. live rock, corals, triggers, clowns, anenomes, many fish i dont recognize and a baby leopard shark. it is quite somesite.

has anybody ever seen Scrips Aquarium in San Diego? it is massive. never seen the london one but I imagine something similar.

:D

Triggers are totally cool - I cant help but squeak and squirm over the fantastic picasso trigger in our LFS, that clown trigger looks amazing too!

I live three hours from the John G. Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. I haven't been there for a few years, but I think it's time for a little road trip :D It's the world’s largest indoor aquarium.

Here's some info from their website:
Inside the Aquarium and Oceanarium you’ll find nearly 8,000 aquatic animals representing 650 species of fish, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, birds and mammals from waters around the world.

Swimming above and within these waters you’ll find the Oceanarium’s beluga whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, Alaskan sea otters and harbor seals living in a recreated Pacific Northwest coastal environment. Follow the winding nature trails through a rainforest filled with plantlife, streams and tidepools. Watch the dolphins demonstrate natural behaviors during daily educational presentations. Penguins seemingly dressed in "formal attire" frolic in their Falkland Islands habitat in a most informal way.

Back in the aquarium, the 90,000-gallon Caribbean Reef Exhibit in the central rotunda is home to sharks, a sea turtle and more than 250 tropical Caribbean reef animals. Several times a day, a diver swims among the colorful fish and animals, hand feeding them while talking about their amazing qualities. In the galleries of the aquarium, fresh and saltwater exhibits highlight animals from Asia, Africa and Australia - even from Lake Michigan.

NOW THAT'S AN AQUARIUM! :hyper: :hyper:

 WOW!

that certainly sounds like an amazing aquarium - I swear if I was rich my house would be a bit like that  lol
