We really could do with an active Marine moderator - can it be considered please?

Are you guys looking for a moderator? Or just a knowledgeable leader-type person?

Because if you are just looking for a moderator to clean up inappropriate posts and the like, then just use the report button. All the mods can perform all the actions in any section, so if there is something wrong, we'll all see the notice and get to it as soon as we can. That's really all the title moderator means -- someone to come by and enforce the rules and keep the place as tidy as possible.

If you are looking for a leader, then that I can't help you with. Hopefully someone will come along and show devotion to the forum, but obviously we can't make someone do that.

What seems to be the problem Seff.
I've just had a wee look as I do on an almost daily basis,
Nothing untoward seems to be happening, you and a few others seem to be handling situations and replies just fine.
Have I missed something?
Just because you dont see me doesn't mean I'm not lurking.
Or is it my arcane sense of humour you miss.
Regards

I miss everything about you BigC, even that sense of humour! :hyper:

I know you lurk and have your left eye on us (I told you to get that fixed years ago! :lol) but I suppose what I am thinking is the general organisation of the area - for example many of the fish of the week or corals of the week need to be archived, it needs a general tidy up and updating (it's driving me nuts! Think I have caught your OCD :fun: ).

The members of the Marine section keep things ticking over nicely as you say, we have all that in hand :good:

But we need to be moving forward and we are not, we are stuck

i agree it would be good to have another marine mod to clear things up kinda thing

id suggest

seffie,trod,buddyboy67,scott however i understand that none of them might not want to do it

all very good with stuff like that

yes i think its a good idea too seffie.. and also think you would make the perfect mod :) ( you kind of run the show anyway, and everyone appreciates the work you put in)
and i have to say.. it has to be the best "behaved" part of the forum too. things rarely go off topic etc ( spose thats because its so interesting) but all the same its nice to have a "leader"

yeah c`mon Seffie for marine mod

Hehehe

Id also say Seffie, because whenever ive asked a question, 99.9% of the times seffie has always been first too and is always willing to help

Go Seffie, Go Seffie, Go Seffie!!!

 thank you for your positive comments, I wasn't suggesting anyone in particular should be a moderator, there are several people on here who would do a fab job :good:

I would just like to see us move forward (and be tidy  ) Maybe as BigC and some of the other Mods have said, we are fine as we are?

This matter will now be raised at a higher level. Now I have to climb those blinkin stairs again.
Talk amongst yourselves and I'll get back to ya all forthwith.

Give me a bit of time whilst I fetch my pinnie and Mr Sheen,
Pass the salt please.

what a picture that paints  don't get your banjo caught up in the apron strings! And you can't fool me, you know you want to jump straight in and tidy up :good:

Wow, now that's what I call good service - can you come round and do my house too :good:

:thanks:

Already started.... Needs a bit of time though.

That stone staircase leading to the top of the TFF tower (West Wing) will be the death of me. Then I sit at the end of a long wooden table and submit my case, subsequent grumblings and mumblings begin and echo after me as I descend that damn staircase once again. You'd think they'd at-least let me have the new Tin Cans and string tele-box thingamajig we've just had installed.
Pfttt.... those cobwebs are everywhere, does nobody do anything around here.

Need new strings for the ole Banjodelo
all the stringalings are broken dingalings and thats no youdle oose to me.

I should have been a mistral instead of the court jester. Why do I never get invited to the Great Banqueting Hall, thats were all the wenches are...
