Mantis Madness

That is a nice looking Peacock the other one is a havanensis? My peacock used to be out and about constantly, its funny you say yours is shy :S.
Neither of them are shy, that's not what I said... it's just that Stagger likes to stay in his burrow most of the time and doesn't venture out a whole lot, and Rose is afraid of the camera :p. Yes, Rose is a havanensis.

Thanks for the concern mark7616, but Ehudd is right. I'd have to be pretty dumb to own one and not know that they are capable of breaking glass. However, it happens very infrequently and typically only when they are provoked. He's going to be upgraded to a 40g acrylic one of these days, anyway. At first I was very eager to switch him to acrylic, but having seen his behaviour, I am not as concerned now. In fact, if it weren't for the simple fact that I want him to have a bigger tank, I'd be comfortable leaving him in his glass setup indefinitely.

Hey Synirr do u know if u can feed mantis shrimp FW Yabbies???
Never done it till now not sure if i should or not in future :p just wanted to try it out
its good to see more mantis lovers!!!

Yeah you can, it shouldn't be a problem. One of the blue crayfish came in dead in the last shipment at work but it was still fresh, and Stagger enjoyed it very much :)
