I have a large male swordtail in my tank, on his own. I would say he measures at about 3-4 inches. He seemed to beat up the female swordtail i had in there, it eventually killed her. I moved him about 4-5 times between my upstairs and downstairs tanks because i had problems every time with him. He seemed to be aggressive with the danios which are going into my new planted tank soon. My mum's friend owns an aquatic shop and he offered to take him from me, free of course because i doubt he will be sold.
Would he get on with a big shoal of tetras, danios, cories and gouramis in a planted tank? I don't want to cause the poor thin more stress by moving him into a new tank then having to move him to the aquatics. The problem is that i feel sorry for itand it would devastate me if i moved him from a healthy tank where he was happy to a tank at the aquatics where he would die- However he does seem quite hardy. Is it worth the risk and stress of moving him into a new tank? Should i just let him live a new life at the aquatics?

any advice is appreciated, cheers!

hum i had a problem with one of my male swords before i just added serval female to make it happy. never add only one female sword tail to one male the female should outnumber the males to reduce stress on the females while keeping the male happy.
