Hi there.
Can I keep guppies in a tank with Male Paradise fish?
I vave a very well planted 4x2x2 foot aquarium.
Guppies are currently in a smaller tank and I want to know if it is safe to move them in with the Paradise Fish
Thankyou for any help you can give

Generally their ok.

Not 100% true all the time, but best way is to add a couple and see how her tolerates them if you want to be sure first.

That's a nice sized tank. Paradise fish vary greatly...much like cichlids, and some may take issue with a fancy guppy's long fins. That said, I've kept them with endlers, harlequin rasboras, cherry barbs, and variatus platy's in 20 gallon long tanks and 3' long 33 gallon tanks without any problem.

I have 2 pairs of paradise fish who share a tank with lots of cories, a ram and a weatherloach. Used to have platies in there too. Paradise fish never bother tankmates -mind you I got them from someone who's been breeding them for many years and his strain is very docile. His males will happily share a tank with other males.
