Male or female?

Hi all!
A couple months ago my betta Remy passed away (old age) and I got a new betta. It was one of the babies from Petco and was listed as a female, but as they’ve grown I’ve noticed that they have pretty long fins. I was just wondering if anybody would be able to tell if they were a male or a female? It doesn’t really matter either way, I’m just very curious lol

Hope you didn't give "her" a name too soon...

A good trick is to use a mirror to make them flare, If the fish has a large beard, it has good chance being a male.

But from your picture it looks like a male to me.

Have a look at the ovipositor (egg laying tube) where the poop comes out. Females have a white ovipositor, males are coloured.
